Preamble

In Autopoll different types of card systems can be configured. Deciding is/are the card reader/s and what they allow as card systems.

Card systems

Classic one/single card system

With the classic one card system vehicle cards as well as driver cards can be stored in Autopoll and can be used alone and separately for the authorisation at the card reader. During the configuration of a card in Autopoll the area on the right side, which is used for the configuration of additional authorisation data, remains untouched and empty.

Indirect two card system

An indirect two card system is a one card system with a real vehicle card and a driver who is fix assigned to the vehicle. This indirect two card system only works when a driver is using the same vehicle all the time. The process is as follows: the filling will be authorised only with the real vehicle card, the filling will be polled to Autopoll, the filling will be assigned to the vehicle and company which are assigned to the vehicle card. Because of the fact that a driver is fix assigned to the vehicle the driver is assigned to the filling too during the vehicle assignment.

Real two card system

In a real two card system vehicle cards and driver cards have to be stored and configured in Autopoll, which have to be used together and successively at the card readers to authorise a filling. In the cards configuration the right area which configures the additional authorisation data the checkboxes "Driver Card (2CS)" or "Vehicle Card (2CS)" have to be activated. The card reader only checks whether a card is being registered and authorised to fill, not if the vehicle card and the driver card belong to the same company. The card reader only knows cards, not companies, vehicles or drivers.

Virtual two card system

Basically the card readers only manage/handle card identifications. That means that the card readers never get vehicle and/or driver numbers. These numbers are not known to them. To guarantee the input of the driver or vehicle number at the card reader/s, the driver or vehicle number have to be transferred to the card reader as pseudo card identifications. It is necessary to store and configure real cards and so called virtual cards in Autopoll and to transfer these to the card reader/s.

Instead of the normal card identification the number which has to be input at the card reader followed by a "=" and filled up with "0" till the length of 19, has to be stored in the field "PAN" as pseudo card identification.

Special case actual Heconomy

It is possible in actual card readers of the type Heconomy to authorise at the card reader with two real cards (real two card system) as well as with a real card and a number input (virtual two card system). To achieve this the cards in Autopoll have to be configured both as two card system cards. With the control panel the Heconomy parameter "Configuration workbench-Basics-User interface UI-General UI controls- Provide "TypeIn-ID" authorisation dialog via {i}-button" has to be activated. After the authorisation at the card reader with the real card the i-button has to be pressed for being able to input a number instead of the authorisation with a second real card.

Hint

With a card reader type TA 2331 the PIN-input at the card reader does NOT work in combination with a virtual two card system (real vehicle card and driver number over keyboard with account check).
