EN gauging points
Preamble
If a probe is installed in a tank to measure the volume level, it doesn't matter whether this probe is connected directly to Autopoll or over the card reader, a probe table/tank type with gauging points has to be configured in Autopoll and afterwards assigned to the corresponding tank/s over the field "T.type". There are card readers which have pre-defined probe tables/tank types. Most of these probe tables/tank types are already configured in Autopoll. These pre-defined probe tables/tank types need no gauging points in Autopoll which are transmitted to the card reader. In this case only a pre-defined letter or number which marks the corresponding probe table will be sent to the card reader.
Probe table and tank type describe the same thing. Out of the view of the probe it is a probe table. But in fact these values are only gauging points of the tank and not of the probe, so from that point of view it is a tank type.

Master files
Desc.: Name of the probe table/tank type. It is recommended to use the name and the volume of the used tank in which the probe is being installed.
Type: The defined letter or defined number when using an at the card reader pre-defined probe table/tank type. 0 when using a probe table/tank type with manually recorded gauging points.
Gauging points: Selection of the number of gauging points. There is no need to record gauging points when pre-defined probe tables/tank types are being used.
Import Import of the gauging points values with an ASCII textfile
Export Export of the gauging points values into an ASCII textfile
The ASCII textfile has the same format/structure for the import and export:
- one row per gauging point
- the values in the import file have to be in increasing order
- value "mm" followed by a blank followed by the value "Liters"
Gauging points
Normally a probe table of the installed tank of the tank manufacturer exists or is available. This list contains 200 to 250 gauging points. The values indicate on the left side the level of the liquid in "mm" or "cm" and on the right side the corresponding volume. Depending on whether 32 or 64 values have been selected, the corresponding number of values have to be taken from that list and recorded in Autopoll. It is recommended to take a cross section of the whole probe table, that means not only values from the start or end of the list, but from every section of the probe table.
Tanks
If the probe table/tank type is being assigned to one or more tanks, then the display shows to which tanks it is assigned to.
